shadow weapons

I decided to continue with the weaponry avenue of investigation and created pendulums that can be used as weapons with household items. I made individual pieces with steirophome balls and added a cd, nails, sewing needles, wood chips, and cd shards. I then suspended them.

After I discovered that the shadows were more interesting I made a short video based on this.

After Completing the piece it seemed as though something was missing from it. People that I spoke to drew comparisons between it and torture devices! I liked the idea so I ran with it and began adding several elements from research I had collected on the topic.

I added spikes to the ball from the shards I had remaining after I cut them off the cds.

After the ball was covered I created a rack from two circular containers which I then painted black and glued on the remaining shards. I then tied them onto the piece with rope.
